Sri Krishna Janmastami - Lord Krishna's appearance day
When Lord Krishna descends into this world He does it in a way that is relishable for His devotees. Therefore He displays the pastime of taking birth and manifests His form as a child and then as a beautiful youth with a glowing complexion the color of rain clouds. He plays a flute, attracting the hearts of all. His cheeks are brilliant, His smile enchanting. He wears a peacock feather in His curly black hair and a flower garland around His neck. His beautiful garments are the color of lightning.
Fifty centuries ago Krishna revealed His transcendental form to the residents of the land we now call India, and He lived there for 120 years, sometimes showing and sometimes hiding His divinity. Since then the day of His divinde appearance has been celebrated in this world as Sri Krishna Janmastami - Lord Krishna's appearance day.

This is the annirversary day commemorating the day that Srimad Bhagavad Gita was spoken by Lord Sri Krishna to His dearmost devotee Arjuna at the place now known as Jyotisar Tirtha amid the waring families of the Kurus and the Pandavas at Kurukshetra.

Radhashtami - Srimati Radharani's appearance day
Radharani is the eternal consort of Sri Krishna. It is said that if you wish for entrance into the circle of Krishna's close friends and servants, you need the recommendation of Srimati Radharani. She is extremely merciful and may grant this wish to a sincere soul. Therefore we celebrate this day for the pleasure of Srimati Radharani, trying to also obtain Her mercy.

Govardhana Puja
Krishna likes it very much when His devotees are glorified and served. On this day He displayed this Himself, over 5,000 years ago. He worshiped Govardhana Hill in Vrindavan, the Hill that supplied His cows with grass and water.
